Sherri Moore is the best professor at the University of Virginia. I was actually sad to finish this class after having taken comm law for an entire year. It is definitely a worthwhile class, no matter what your major is and how little background knowledge you have on the subject. This is just a practical class and applicable to everyday life. Multiple choice tests and you can use cheat sheets. Take the class, you'll thank me later.

Students consistently praise the instructor’s engaging support and consider the class a highly practical extension of the foundational prerequisite. The curriculum shifts toward drier, business-focused topics like intellectual property and corporate law, offering strong career relevance even when the material feels less captivating. Your grade hinges on application-heavy multiple-choice exams where diligent note-taking and strategically formatted cheat sheets are your biggest assets. Expect minimal outside work and a straightforward workload, though earning an A requires consistently high test scores due to strict grading thresholds.

Sherri Moore is an amazing professor. I found this class easier than Comm Law I. The group project was a nice application of the material, not challenging, and more preferable than weekly quizzes.
Sherri is the best! This class is a lot like Comm Law I, but there is a group project instead of quizzes every week. She also teaches a bit faster, but it's very useful and interesting information. Good, chill class to take!
I love Sherri Moore
Professor Moore is probably the best professor I have had at UVA. I took Comm Law I in the fall and really enjoyed, so it was a no-brainer to take this class. It was different material (more business related than Comm Law I), but I really enjoyed both classes. You get a cheat sheet for each exam, and you can pretty much get all your notes on the cheat sheet if you format it correctly. I definitely recommend taking this class. I wish there were more classes I can take with her.
If you're interested in contract law, patent law, etc, then definitely take this class. Sherri Moore is an amazing teacher and I highly recommend taking a class with her. However, if you're taking the class because you expect it to be as interesting as Comm1, it might be different than you expect. The material is definitely drier than that of Comm law 1. However, we still get cheat sheets on tests so they're not that bad.
