Review Summary Updated April 06, 2026

This is a genuinely low-stress, beginner-friendly class that’s ideal for fulfilling a requirement if you have absolutely no coding background. The workload stays highly manageable, revolving around weekly assignments, straightforward quizzes, attendance-based in-class activities, two midterms, and a light final project in place of a cumulative exam. The teaching staff is incredibly supportive and flexible with grading, frequently offering exam corrections, dropped quizzes, and open office hours to ensure you stay on track. As long as you show up regularly and keep up with the weekly material, securing a strong grade is entirely straightforward, though a few programming tasks may require some initial troubleshooting before they click.

Pretty good intro course, fairly easy I would say. Only thing is there were in class activities most lectures for attendance, so you couldn't really skip, even though the lectures were a little redundant sometimes. You could do corrections for the two big exams, and the final was a project. Some of the homework assignments were somewhat difficult.
