Easy class, very fun, Cady is great. Like I said the class is easy, but that being said GO TO CLASS EVERYDAY AND ON TIME. So I got good grades and stuff (94 on the midterm) but I was late to class almost every day and my TA was NOT cool with that, so my participation grade took a hit and I somehow managed to be the only kid getting a C in the class (I'm the 1% you see in the grade distribution for this class). So please, go to class on time, your participation grade will make or break your overall class grade. Otherwise, easy class, 10/10 would recommend.

2This class is highly interactive and energetic, trading traditional lectures for constant group work, theater games, and creative assignments like mind maps, collages, and original plays. While it’s genuinely fun and the teaching team is incredibly supportive, it’s definitely not a place to sit quietly and coast. Participation and strict attendance policies heavily dictate your final mark, and securing an A typically requires consistently scoring above 95% while TAs grade closely on engagement and punctuality. Lean into the collaborative activities, show up to every session on time, and you’ll easily earn a solid grade while having a memorable semester.

Great class. Easy A- class. Depends on your TA. 95 is an "A" now so its a little bit harder. Very chill and fun.
great class 10/10. fun and interesting and not like any class you've taken at UVA unless you're a drama major. The teachers and TAs are great and super energetic and make class super super fun. #tcf2016
This is a very fun class. The only rough part is that it starts at 9:30am and I'm not a morning person. The TAs are very energetic and excited to work with you. You have to be willing to participate and act because your grade is largely participation-based. They are always mixing it up so you won't ever really be bored. Take this class!
This class is great for those like myself who have never done anything regarding theatre. You learn the basics of every aspect of theatre through minimal readings and fun activities. The professors and TA's were always excited for class which kept the students awake and excited to go to class. Beyond play readings the only real homework we ever had was writing two play reviews for productions put on by the Drama Dept.
