Review Summary Updated April 05, 2026

This is an incredibly light course where you will almost certainly earn a solid A as long as you submit your work, since grading is entirely completion-based and there are absolutely no tests or midterms. Expect a minimal time commitment involving weekly videos, a few short writing assignments, occasional tutoring or interviews, and the freedom to secure extensions if needed. The instructor is consistently praised for being exceptionally kind, highly enthusiastic, and very accommodating, which makes even longer meeting times feel surprisingly manageable. If you want a low-stress, straightforward introduction to the education field or just need an easy way to fill a scheduling gap, this is a highly practical choice, though students looking for rigorous academic challenges will find the material fairly basic.

This class was a great introduction to teaching. Plaskon was a great teacher and he was super funny. He is very understanding with assignments for other classes and you can pretty much get an extension on anything. The final projects were fun, no tests or quizzes and the homework was a joke.

Professor Plaskon is a very very nice person. This class is so easy, if turn in your work, you will get an A regardless of quality. I like Professor, he's one of the nicest person I've ever met, but this class was kind of a waste of time, besides being quite boring. I didn't learn much about anything. The only positive was that it was easy.

Plaskon is awesome! He wears a bowtie every day to class. Not a hard class, but very insightful for those who are interested in teaching

Great class for people wanting to be teachers. prof. Plaskon is amazing, and the work is minimal at best. But, the kicker is that your thoughts on education are opened up so much more in his class.

This class is so much fun. You will learn to love S.P.P., while learning about the practicality of teaching in America's schools today.
