Graduate and Professional Students of Africa (GAPSA)

Club Description

As the name indicates, the Graduate and Professional Students of Africa is a safe space for (international) students from Africa. We have an ongoing WhatsApp group with about 100 members with about 14 flags representing our members' countries.  We welcome Masters students, PhD candidates, and professional students from Darden, Law and Medical schools. We welcome newly admitted African students and provide them with information to ease their transition to the United States. GAPSA cultivates a community of Africans who share their culture--food, language and daily living--while navigating life in the United States.
