Attending lectures is necessary for a good grade in this class, and they are rarely recorded. The lectures could be a little monotone at times, but Farenbaugh was passionate about the subject, and it showed. I feel like I learned a lot, but I would only recommend this to people interested in EVSC. It is an easy class overall; the tests are not bad and there is only one homework every other week. There are readings, but you can tell which are important and which are not.

I took this class for my 2nd science credit. It was hard and I had to study for the 3 exams. There is NO final exam which is nice. They mostly grade you on greenhouse gases, environmental processes, and environmental hazard-based events. I would recommend this course (versus Bio or Chem) for your general education science credit. Dr. Joy F is a great professor and is really enthusiastic about the subject.
