Hodges is an awesome instructor. They're funny and always encourages us to participate and think critically about what we are reading. They definitely improved my writing and the way I went about researching for essays to develop more cohesive arguments. As long as you participate consistently, and do the readings before each class, you should be able to get an A. The essay grading isn't too harsh, just don't procrastinate them. If you have to take an ENWR class, I would highly recommend Hodges.
