This course is super enjoyable, even if you don’t plan on pursuing a degree in writing. You write two short stories throughout the semester which the class workshops (20-25 minutes of discussion about whatever the writer wants). There’s also a book review assignment that’s pretty easy and straightforward. Grading can feel a bit confusing since you don’t have a sense of what your final grade will be until the end of the semester. Participation and attendance are graded and the participation grades can be a bit harsh, so make sure to talk a lot in class. The overall class is pretty easy and really fun, so I definitely recommend!
