I would definitely recommend this course because it allows you to become CPR/AED certified (if you receive above a certain grade on some assignments) and UVA will pay for the certification. You also learn many other useful skills such as saving someone from choking and how to treat someone that is having a seizure. A background in biology is helpful. i attended all lectures on zoom because class only lasted about 30 minutes and the professor/TA didn't add too much information compared to what was already found on the slides. Many things are reiterated from module to module, but that is only because those things need to be memorized and performed and the end of the term. There is a lab every week that is done quickly, 2 exams, a group project, and 2 skill assessments.
