Professor Abdelghaffar is kind and energetic. Since this class revolves completely around class/group discussions, she really wants her students to participate and sometimes will cold call people. Before every class there were 1-3 articles/videos we would need to go over as most of class time was devoted to discussing them. You don't need to know every fine detail, just have a general sense of the main ideas and bring your own opinions. I will definitely say that Professor Abdelghaffar is clearly left-leaning in terms of the social topics we discussed, but she is generally quite open to opposing ideas and will sometimes encourage it as long as you back up your viewpoint. Also, I must commend how she fully reads our HW submissions and leaves very long comments. The final project was not a ton of work either. If you want an interesting and easier EGMT, this is a solid choice.

Nice professor who cares about the students, but she really wants discussion and will cold call you. Do the readings before because that is what the entire class will be about, but even if you don't you can make it up on the spot. Its not that hard.
