DO NOT TAKE THIS EGMT!!! Extremely sweet lady but she does and expects way to much for an engagement. It's not that theres a lot of readings or difficult homework, its just that when we do have assignments or in class works she expects high level work and grades extremely harshly. Most of the time she just talks on about high level biology and the entire class is just confused on what she's talking about. It's not the worst class in the world but it's just not worth taking when there's way easier engaging differences engagements.

This course was a pain in my behind. First of all, I was not expecting a course about "engaging differences" to be completely focused on cellular biology. It was unnecessarily difficult for an engagement. The professor spent multiple classes lecturing to no end only to pull out a class assignment at the very end for which we were not left enough time to complete. She is very nice but her expectations were always unclear and required further clarification after class or during her office hours. I think other people were struggling alongside me which is why she created a bunch of assignments at the end of the quarter to bring up the class average. My overall gripe with this class and her teaching is that alongside her vague instructions, she was a meticulous grader and offered no rubric for even the major assessments of the course. It was an infuriating class and I do not wish for any other first-year to undergo this backwards learning experience.
