A great class! Obviously required for first year, first semester MPP students. Each lecture covered both math and reasoning for the subject of the week. I definitely recommend reading the textbook (inclusive access!) and doing the practice problems from discussion sections (I had Jenny T.). There are 2 midterms and a final. Professor Mbiti was a great professor and I highly recommend him.

Professor Mbiti is one of the best professors I have ever had. Not only does he work to teach ECON well and explain concepts in ways for people to understand, but he also genuinely cares about the students. One quick anecdote: I got COVID this past semester while taking the class. Not only did Professor Mbiti work with me on my deadlines, but he also made sure I was doing ok outside of the class (he even ordered me dinner one night). He also has a great taste in music and plays songs before every class. #tCF2020
