This class is up there for one of the worst conducted courses I've ever taken at UVA. I would not have taken this class if I was not required to. The expected answers for the exam questions are overly subjective which basically makes it a guessing game. The assignments are less about understanding the material, and more so hit or miss as to whether you know what kind of answer the professor expects. Office hours are a waste because they won't be able to give you a straight answer as to why you got something wrong, basically just tell you to do a better job reading my mind and figuring out what I want. Just a very abstract, ambiguous, guessing game, joke of a class, assignment wise. The material we learned was kind of cool/relevant and could be helpful in life, but it is not worth tanking your GPA. Would not recommend.

This class is so bad if I wasn't required to take it. I wouldn't have. This class is an absolute joke in terms of teaching, but then when there are exams or papers, they grade so harshly. The new professors for this class are so bad, the previous professor in charge of this class is on maternal leave and I heard she's amazing. But this class was absolutely terrible, don't take it if you don't need to.
