This course was fairly straightforward. Attendance is not required. There is a lot of group work. In Fall 2023, there were no exams, just in class projects with your groups. We got out early from class almost every lecture. It wasn't too hard, but sometimes the grading for the projects was pretty picky, which made it a little harder. For example, we got 10 points off for writing "too much" for one assignment (giving us an 80 for our project grade). We did about 6 group projects. This class is especially easy if you have already taken cell bio or biochem because a lot of the mechanisms are the same. The hardest part is just the group work because working with people is always hard.
Professor Massey is really understanding of situations. I personally had a tough semester, but she made she to assure me that it was okay, and if I needed some days off, I could have some.
