Professor Starling genuinely cares about all her students and makes an effort to get to know them. She is very understanding and gives a reasonable amount of work and realistic deadlines. However, her grades may be a little lower than expected for certain writing assignments. The class is enjoyable and mostly consists of group work, but has a few individual assignments outside of class. It is a good introduction to skills and software we need for future engineering classes, but we didn't go too in-depth, so our learning was limited.

Good teacher and helpful course. The course consists of learning many tools for engineering, some of which are helpful, and some of which are a little unnecessary. However, it's still a useful course for learning different engineering principles and applying them through group work, although the content learned is all very basic and surface-level. Very little work outside of class, and much of it is group work. Professor Starling is a kind and caring teacher who wants the best for her students and offers many opportunities to advance various skills. Overall, not a bad class, but very surface-level and a little redundant at times.
