I highly recommend this class to anyone more interested in the art world than economics. Professor Thomas is very passionate about the topic (especially about Australian Aboriginal art) and does tend to ramble, often past the end of class. At times, it felt more like an art history course than an economics course which thrilled me as an art enthusiast who happens to be an economics major. Besides simply showing up, there are so few requirements for this class (he doesn't even expect you to do the readings!) so it's great elective for anyone busy or those looking for a less econ-heavy econ elective.

The allocation of the overall grade is as follows.:
Journal presentation:  10%
Short paper ~4 pages:  20%
Participation/attendance:  25%
Paper presentation ~10 mins:  15%
Research paper ~12-15 pages: 30%
**Pretty sure we changed it a bit due to class suspensions this semester but this was what was written in the syllabus and what will probably be used for future semesters. Tip: go to office hours for your papers!
