Professort Solomon is a very middle of the road professor. The class is interesting, and she has her moments, but there's nothing really engaging about the way she teaches, often reading off the computer and rarely having class discussions or opportunities for engagement despite the class being like 20 people. The class is, however, pretty easy, with only 3 writing assignments (1 of them in-class) and a final.

She stays pretty neutral but sometimes she makes it obvious how she is pro-Israel, or at least more sympathetic to the Israeli government in contrast to the Palestinian people, which can be frustrating.

When I took this class it was a 2 and a half hour block, which was nice. I recommend taking with a friend, or taking if you want to free up your schedule and have a somewhat easy somewhat interesting class.
