Prof Melcher is a great teacher who really cares about her students. She is more than willing to help during office hours and answer any questions during class and is super approachable. The class itself was not too bad and most of the concepts were straightforward. I will say that this is often the first time people are introduced to proofs in math and it can be hard to get used to them.

Prof Melcher also has a very generous grading system where she will drop your lowest midterm and weigh homework and tests in a way that benefits you the most. There are online homework that are completion based and weekly written homework graded for accuracy. Overall would recommend to take this class with Prof Melcher!
