Tl;dr take this class if you need an easy integration elective or artistic/philosophical inquiry gen-ed, regardless of background knowledge

I took this course as a BACS integration elective and cannot recommend it enough if you need the credit or even if you're just interested in the topic. It's an easy A if you have any musical or computer background. Even if you don't, the class does a good job of easing you into it. Many classmates hadn't even used DAWs or programs like VCV Rack before this class and were still able to excel in this class.

Professor Zaccagnini and the TA Gabrielle Cerberville were always willing to help and be flexible with different student circumstances. The quizzes we took were all multiple choice and very easy, and the composition assignments were easy to fulfill too. My only problem with the class is that lectures can be a bit dry since some of the historical content covered can be boring compared to the more technical-based content, but that's a minor nitpick.

Zaccagnini is a good professor and very understanding of his students. He's always willing to help, and his assignments are pretty easy in my opinion. His lectures can occasionally be a bit boring and he occasionally misunderstands questions, but I don't regret taking this class in any way. If Varun is still the TA, he's awesome too.
