I took this course with Professor Mirabal. She is a great professor! She is incredibly passionate and excited to teach fun, elevated language. She also is very willing to help if you need extra assistance. The course itself is enjoyable. It is broken into three unit projects including una memoria, un reportaje informativo, y una crítica cinemátografia. Each project is broken into manageable pieces and you are given lots of freedom to write about anything that interests you. With each unit there are grammar lessons that coincide, however none of it was new information. If you have taken SPAN 2020 you should already have exposure to all of the grammar and simply need to review. There are three grammar examens, all of which are online. Other than that there is no midterm or final. At the end of each writing project, we would present a little piece of our work to the class in an exhibition format and Profesora Mirabal would bring treats for us. She is very encouraging of us to participate and take risks and doesn't make anyone feel bad for making mistakes. Overall, this was my favorite course of the semester and I loved Mirabal!
