Professor Kahlenberg is relatively new and still figuring out how to ideally structure this course. That said, she is very bright, passionate, reasonable and extremely kind. Go to class and participate. She's accessible during office hours or by email, and wants students to learn and succeed. Don't be afraid to ask questions in class!
