Coppock doesn't hold you responsible for information he doesn't cover, so don't take extensive notes on the book. Ben was a great TA - he covered gaps in the lectures and gave plenty of practice problems. The final was challenging but if you actually understand the theories and concepts rather than just how to do certain problems (like from the midterms) you can do well. I wouldn't recommend relying on dutch knockout, but it worked for me... If you have to take 202, take it with Coppock.

Great class! Coppock is a great teacher and lecturer, and the subject matter is really interesting. I thought 201 w/ Elzinga would be a hard act to follow, but I liked 202 with Coppock even better. Take it if you get the chance!
Very applicable to the current situation. Definently take it if you need another econ course besides Elzinga's.
It was a very good class with hard but interesting material. Obviously a requirement for many, so I'd recommend Coppock. He is pretty conservative and it shows, but his lectures are concise and really helpful. The book is good as well. 2 Midterms are not that hard, just study the larger topics and know the concepts. Final is getting easier every year, and this year it was not bad. Focuses on new material. Good and worthwhile course.
Mr. Coppock is an excellent lecturer.
His tests are challenging but the class is definitely worth taking for any major.
Coppock is a good teacher and his lectures are relatively enjoyable. He's very approachable. My one piece of advice is study hard for the final! I got perfect scores on both the midterms, but didn't too well on the final. It's definitely very different from the midterms. Don't just assume that if you have a good grade going into the final that you're set for the class.
Great class! Really interesting and the lectures were totally worth it. You should definitely study for the exams and read the book.
Loved Coppock, but you need to have your own views on the economy as well - meaning, u need to understand that his understanding of macro isn't the "standard". Bad TA, she is hard working but sucks at communicating.
Funny and very informative lectures. Good class to take. You'll understand what the hell the Wallstreet Journal is talkng about after taking this class.
Coppack is a fantastic lecturer! His lectures are really interesting and he throws in just enough humor and real life examples to keep you hooked in. Abbey also does a great job as a TA and is very accessible. It's certainly not an easy A class but it's also not the toughest class either. If you work hard, you should do fine.
