Professor Kennedy is the best professor I’ve ever had at UVA, and I am so grateful to have taken this course. This class (Mechanisms of Memory) will push you to think, analyze, and create like never before, and by the end, you will be very glad you took the chance on yourself. Professor Kennedy is wildly intelligent and will have the answer to every one of your questions, and while the content is challenging, he creates an environment of genuine enthusiasm and support. He somehow weaves in neuroscience, drug design, organic chemistry, neurology, and bits of nearly every other topic area. Grading is based on five proposals on experimental design, which will certainly be a new format compared to other STEM classes, but it is the only one you will come away from with new confidence and applied knowledge. I’ve never written a Course Forum review, so let this be my first and last and a sign for you to TAKE THIS CLASS.
