tl;dr take this class if you need either of the gen eds associated with it (science and society + chemical, mathematical, and physical universe)

I took this class as a CS major needing a gen ed and I found this class enjoyable enough for the purposes. The professor is very passionate about hydrology but the lectures can be a bit dry sometimes. Try not to skip class since a lot of the quiz material is dependent on things said and not in the slides. Thankfully, all quizzes and tests are open note (with quizzes being open internet as well). If you have to "skip" try to at least make the days where the case studies occur since they benefit from being done in a large group. Do the Water Beyond the Classroom activities as soon as possible since they're easy but time consuming so they can pile up if you let them.
