Overall a doable class, but it can be challenging. Go to the TA office hours, really the only way I was successful. You don't really need to read textbook, but can be helpful for studying. First exam was quite easy, second exam was quite hard, and final was a bit difficult as well. Homeworks take a long time so start those with plenty of time. Professor Brown is very understanding, this is a challenging class but you can totally do well if you do all the quizzes and homework to the best of your ability and study based off those.
