Professor Safdar is a knowledgeable, but incredibly dry professor. His lectures were centered around long, text-filled slides and there was no variability in the class structure. I struggled to pay attention. He provides little to no guidance for the midterm essay, group project, or final, and while he is easy to approach during office hours, they will not improve your enjoyment of the course overall. The only way I learned in this class was via my own independent research and skimming of readings to compose my midterm and final papers. It is not necessarily difficult to do well in the course, but I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for an engaging environment.
