Really really like the course. The readings can be a bit much but very bearable. Professor Hawthorne is possibly one of the most accommodating and encouraging professors I've ever had here. If you're having a rough time, she'll definitely try to help you out. Her teaching style is one that really makes you want to learn the material, and I personally think the material is extremely, extremely interesting. Grades aren't hard, and as long as you put in a good effort, you should get an A.

The course dives deep into Christian Ethics. It isn't hard per se, but it does have a lot of moving parts you have to remain on top of to succeed. Weekly assignments included readings, discussion posts, and quizzes. These helped you to stay on track, but also made it harder to catch up if you did fall behind. Professor Hawthorne is super sweet and willing to help. Overall, this class is worthwhile but does require work.

Phenomenal class. Amazing professor. It's been one of the few classes I've taken at UVA where I felt like I got more than my money's worth. If you're interested at all, please take it.
