Gest was caring and encouraged student opinions and collaboration. The workload was pretty light and our syllabus got shifted around so some of our exams were dropped. Though his demeanor was nice, his grading schedule was rough. Halfway through the semester, I had zero grades. At the end of the semester, I had about half of the grades we were supposed to have, so there was no way to know how I was doing in the class. I didn't get my final transcript grade for this class until the next semester started. Once the grades were posted, I found he was a fair grader, but I wish he'd been a fair grader a little sooner.

The professor is very nice, but he is not good at getting grades back to students, especially with feedback. He is a very caring person as well and wants to get to know everyone in the class. We were supposed to have 14 assignments, including 10 pre-class assignments, 2 in-class quizze,s and 2 small group projects, and we ended up only having 7 pre-class assignments, 1 quiz online at home that was only online because it kept getting pushed back, and one small group project. We did not get grades back for anything until the second-to-last week of classes, which is just disappointing because no one knew where they stood grade-wise, which thankfully was nothing lower than a 90 for anyone in the class before finding out the first quiz. Pretty chill class, but don't be mad about not getting ur grade back.
