Course Description

Prerequisites

Must have earned a grade of C or above in CHIN 1010 OR have equivalent background approved by the instructor through placement evaluation

The second in a two-semester introduction to modern Chinese. All four basic skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) are equally stressed. Course is not intended for native or near-native speakers of Chinese. Contact Chinese language program director Prof. Ran Zhao (rz4e@virginia.edu) for information about the placement evaluation.
