Professor Wilson is a decent lecturer, but he does not know how to control the class very well. The class would often start packing up before he finished talking and it was rather distracting. That said, it was an alright course although it was easier and more boring than I had expected it to be. A lot of the material covered is gone over in PSYC1010 or common sense.

This course is exactly what it's title suggests--an introduction to social psychology. Professor Wilson is one of the foremost researchers in the field (he's a co-author on the textbook you use, but will donate the profit he would have made to a charity of the class' choosing for every book that someone bought new) and is extremely knowledgeable.
His lectures are interesting and he shows videos every class period. This semester's activities included listening to Miley Cyrus and watching candid camera.

Loved this class. When he lectures, he gets the important points down and then shows videos on interesting topics. Tests are fair, but not totally easy. By far my favorite class at UVA!

Prof. Wilson is a great lecturer. He always tries to add things like videos and demonstrations to make the class more enjoyable. Also, the material is very interesting and actually is very applicable to real life. The tests are real easy as long as you read the questions carefully.

Great to take as an elective class. You learn a lot, but it won't bring down your GPA. Do the reading, even if at the last minute.

This was a great class. It was very interesting and Prof. Wilson really knows the material. He often applied what we learned to real life situations, which was cool. He also put all the slides online, which helped when taking notes. I really enjoyed the course and recommend it to anyone. And you can't forget about the social norms project!

Super easy. Don't even really need to go to class - tests aren't that bad, just read the slides and skim the book (look for the examples/case studies in the book) and you'll be fine. Added bonus: for the most part the subject matter is legitimately interesting.

This class was very interesting and Wilson is an engaging professor. It is important to read the book for this class, and to have deep knowledge of the different terms presented.
