This class is a little different from BC Calc. I got a 5 on the AP exam and about 25% of the material this semester was new to me. I got an A in the class, but I definitely had to study hard. All students take the same midterms and final exam. Professor Pisano explained problems well in class and was even more helpful during her office hours. The best way to study for the exams is to study all of the homework problems, past exams (on Collab), and PPT slides. I highly recommend Professor Pisano!

She teaches from slides (available on Collab) which may not work for some students. I find it helpful though since I can pay more attention to the process rather than writing notes. Pisano can come off as mean and unapproachable in class, but she is very helpful during her office hours and will help you with any question. I recommend going right before the quizzes.
I feel like Pisano has a terrible reputation, but I personally really liked her. She did confuse herself sometimes when trying to answer questions (but I feel like students that were doing poorly in the class or just flat out didn’t like her would purposely ask weird questions to try to stump her). Her lessons were always well planned and she explained everything that was prepared very well. If you are willing to spend some time to read through the textbook and complete the homework problems, this class isn't too bad. Also, the textbook was awesome which really helped.
If you have credit for this class from AP Calc BC, DO NOT TAKE THIS! I took it thinking I could easily get an A. false.
It was supposed to be everyone's fluff class because everyone in the class took Calc BC in highschool, so everyone thinks they will know everything. false.
This is a hard subject, but Pisano is a good teacher compared to most of the department. I would recommend taking Pisano for this course, but its going to be hard no matter the professor.
Her lecture can make you sleepy. However, you better listen to her lecture because it's simply important and also do the HW. Also, do study. Don't trust in your ability in this class so much even though you got 5 on AP cal BC during your highschool years.
Mrs. Pisano is an ok professor. She is really nice and really available to help you with problems. Only real complaint is that she speaks quitely during lectures and makes a bunch of mistakes on the board. Also make sure you do the homework bc some of those problems show up on the weekly quizzes
She is a decent teacher but not excellent.
She's not the best or worst professor, but she gets the job done in teaching you calc. she knows her stuff, but when it comes to teaching, she just writes problems on the board without thoroughly explaining everything
